Mike Bennett is the Principal at Madison High School. He brings 18 years of education experience to the district.
Mr. Bennett started as a baseball coach at Hillcrest High School and a coach for girls and boys basketball at Rocky Mountain Middle School in Idaho Falls. He then taught sixth grade math and social studies at Rocky Mountain Middle School. Mike's next move was to Madison School District where he taught high school math and biology. Later, he held the position of Principal at Lyman Elementary School and Madison Middle School. From there, he spent a few years as Madison's Director of Special Services and now back at Madison High where he started his career with the district. Only this time, as the administrator.
Mr. Bennett received his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education Math, and another Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science from Idaho State University. He received his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and his Director of Special Education Endorsement from Idaho State University as well.
Mr. Bennett and his wife Becky have been married for 20 years and have four children - all girls (Who spoil him daily). He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1988 to 1990 in England. Bennett enjoys golf, reading, creating new acroymns for his department, fishing, and sports.
